We regret to inform you that your position is at risk of redundancy due to [reason for redundancy]. However, we understand that this news can be distressing and we want to ensure that you are aware of your rights to raise an appeal against this decision.

If you wish to appeal against the decision to make you redundant, you should submit a written appeal to [name of the person or department handling appeals] within 10 working days of receiving this letter. Your appeal should set out your reasons for challenging the redundancy and any alternative suggestions that you may have.

The appeal will be heard by a senior manager who was not involved in the original redundancy decision. You will have the right to be accompanied by a trade union representative or a colleague during the appeal meeting.

Please note that the appeal process will be carried out in accordance with our company’s redundancy policy and procedures. We will ensure that the process is fair and transparent and that all parties are given the opportunity to put forward their case.
